The Earl of Ilchester

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Ministry of Defence review of the number and location of Service hospitals required in the United Kingdom has been completed and if a decision has been reached on the future of Princess Mary's RAF Hospital.

The Earl of Arran

The surgeon general's review of the number and location of Service hospitals required in the United Kingdom has now been completed. The recommendations contained in the review report are now being considered within the Ministry of Defence and a decision on the future number and location of Service hospitals, which includes the Princess Mary's RAF Hospital, Halton, will be taken in the Autumn.
