§ The Prime MinisterCompanies legislation has since 1967 contained a requirement that a company's directors should disclose in their report, which forms part of the accounts, any gifts of money for political purposes if the amount exceeds a specified sum. The specified sum was increased from £50 to £200 in 1980.
