Mr. Bell

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs(1) what representations he has received from the Government of the Republic of France in the last two days concerning relations between the republic and the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what representations he has received from the Federal Republic of Germany in the last two days concerning relations between the republic and the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Maude

There has been comment, much of it public, from a number of sources on Britain's relations with her EC partners. But we have received no representations on the subject.

Mr. Bell
