Why Mr. Dursun Sen, a Kurd from Turkey applying for refugee status in the United Kingdom, has been held in detention for over five months and when they expect to reach a decision about his case.
Earl Ferrers: Mr. Sen arrived in the United Kingdom on 14th May 1989 and was detained until 9th October, when he was granted temporary admission. His application for asylum was formally refused on 6th September, but further representations are being considered. A final decision about his case is expected to be reached in the near future.
