§ Mr. John PattenI am aware that a pilot vehicle watch scheme is currently in operation in Southend, and that similar schemes are in existence in a number of areas around the country. These are imaginative schemes and I look forward to hearing of the results they achieve. I have asked my officials to make arrangements for the crime prevention centre to disseminate information about the existing schemes to all police forces, and have referred the issue to Crime Concern.
