Member for Holborn and St. Pancras in the debate of 25 June,Official Report, column 68 about the appointment of advisers on privatisation; and if he will make a statement.

My hon. Friend has written to the hon. Member for Holborn and St. Pancras making clear that every case the appoint of advisers on privatisation followed a competitive process there were substantial and compelling reasons for departing from that norm
