§ Mr. RedwoodAuditors' reports accompanying licence applications were submitted to the Department on 28 July 1983, 6 August 1984, 30 July 1986 and 3 August 1987. Annual monitoring returns, giving information on the handling of clients' money and investments during the previous licence period, were verified by an auditor on 23 March 1984, 3 October 1984, 20 May 1985, 26 March 1986, 17 March 1987 and 20 April 1988.
§ Ms. MowlamTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what steps are being taken to ascertain how much of the investors' money apparently missing from the assets of Dunsdale Securities disappeared during the period that his Department was the supervisory regulatory body.
§ Mr. RedwoodThe investigations being carried out by the Serious Fraud Office cover the whole period during which Dunsdale carried on business.
§ Ms. MowlamTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry at what date his Department or any self-regulatory organisation had the first warning about possible problems at Dunsdale Securities.
