on public roads. The requested information on pedal cycle riders on public roads, excluding the small number of casualties deemed to be pedal cycle passengers, is given in the table below. Road injury accident data are compiled by date of accident. The second table shows data collected by the registrar general on deaths to pedal cyclists. No information on injuries is available from this source. Data are complied by date of registration.
