§ Mrs. RumboldThe Department of Employment Training Agency is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the technical and vocational education initiative. Her Majesty's inspectorate does, however, inspect TVEI in the schools and colleges and a number of those reports have been published; HMI will be carrying out two surveys focusing on TVEI provision for 16 to 19-year-olds in the forthcoming academic year.
