To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what has been the increase in real terms in transport supplementary grant for local authorities in 1990–91.

Mr. Atkins

The provision for transport supplementary grant in class VII, vote 5 for 1990–91 is £233,125,000, an increase of 7.3 per cent. in real terms on the corresponding provision for 1989–90.
