§ Mr. AtkinsCapital spending on motorway and trunk road maintenance in the years 1975 to 1990 is set out in the table below. Before 1975 capital and current expenditure were not separately recorded. Capital spending on road maintenance includes roads renewal, bridges renewal, and the purchase of vehicles and equipment.
