§ Mrs. ChalkerBetween 1984 and 1988 we provided bilaterally £1 million of financial aid, all for disaster relief; and £113,000 of technical co-operation. The provisional figures for 1989 are £140,000 (disaster relief) and £4,000 (technical co-operation). European Community aid commitments in 1984–89 totalled 45.79 million ecu; expenditure in 1984–88 was 8.3 million ecu; the United Kingdom share of this aid is about 20 per cent.
