HC Deb 09 July 1990 vol 176 cc86-7W
34. Mr. Livsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement about air traffic control over Wales.

Mr. McLoughlin

The control of air traffic in the United Kingdom is the responsibility of the national air traffic services, which is a joint organisation of the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Aviation Authority.

Air traffic over Wales is controlled in precisely the same manner as air traffic over the rest of the United Kingdom. The controlling centre for en route traffic over Wales and much of England is the London air traffic control centre.
