§ Mr. Peter MorrisonExisting statutory requirements under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Mineral Workings (Offshore Installations) Act 1971 place duties on employers and owners of offshore installations to provide such training as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of their employees, and to ensure that only competent persons are made responsible for the control and safety of operations.
