§ Mrs. RumboldWe are giving local education authorities specific grant support for the introduction of the national curriculum There will be support for some £120 million expenditure this financial year, rising to nearly 170 million expenditure next financial year This is in addition to the general revenue support grant funding which local authorities receive in support of spending It is for authorities to decide how much to spend to help small rural schools to deliver the national curriculum.
