HL Deb 04 July 1990 vol 520 c2254WA
Lord Moran

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have engaged consultants to identify possible savings in public expenditure which might arise from their proposed reorganisation of the Nature Conservancy Council and, if so, what are the consultants' terms of reference.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Hesketh)

Consultants have been engaged to examine specific aspects of reorganisation, such as computer needs and the case for providing certain administrative services on a common basis for all three new agencies. The work is intended to find solutions which will allow the new agencies to make the best possible use of public expenditure.
