HC Deb 31 January 1990 vol 166 c204W
Mr. Chris Smith

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proposals he has hitherto put forward for the United Kingdom's contribution to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; and what proportion of the United Kingdom's contribution he intends should come(a) from the existing budget for overseas aid and development and (b) from new allocations of resources.

Mr. Ryder

The details of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are still being discussed. The United Kingdom will be a generous and enthusiastic contributor. How the contribution is met will be decided in future public expenditure surveys.
