§ Mr. Chris SmithTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proposals he has hitherto put forward for the United Kingdom's contribution to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; and what proportion of the United Kingdom's contribution he intends should come(a) from the existing budget for overseas aid and development and (b) from new allocations of resources.
§ Mr. RyderThe details of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are still being discussed. The United Kingdom will be a generous and enthusiastic contributor. How the contribution is met will be decided in future public expenditure surveys.
