To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the work of teachers implementing the Education Reform Act 1988.

Teachers are at the forefront of implementing our education reforms. The success of the reforms depends crucially on their contribution. I am encouraged by the evidence I have received of the enthusiasm and dedication with which the reforms are being implemented, and I pay tribute to the dedication, professionalism and hard work of teachers in this.
