§ Mr. AtkinsCheshire county council is the highway authority for the A57 in Warrington but would need ray right hon. Friend's consent to a speed limit. The north-west regional office advised the council in November that a 50 mph limit for Liverpool road/Sankey way would not be justified by our nationally applied criteria and practice.
