HC Deb 29 January 1990 vol 166 c24W
Mr. Onslow

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the estimated cost to public funds of administering the sale of game licences in each of the years from 1981–82 to 1988–89, inclusive.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

[holding answer 26 January 1990]: Until 1988, the cost of administering the sale of both game licences and dog licences fell as a single item to the Department of the Environment, so no separate figure for game licences is available. For the years 1988–89 and 1989–90, during which the Home Office has been responsible for administering the sale of game licences, the costs were £162,809 and £172,406.
