Mr. Dobson

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will give for England and Wales for each year since 1979 the total family practitioner committee expenditure(a) under the ancillary staff scheme and (b) for the cost of providing premises under the rent and rate scheme; and if he will give an indication of the costs adjusted for general price inflation.

The information requested for England is given in the following table. Information in relation to family practitioner services in Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
