§ Mr. Austin MitchellTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of national insurance contributors paying the share fishermen's rate(a) nationally, (b) in Grimsby and (c) in Scotland in the latest available year.
§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardI have been asked to reply.
During 1986–87, the latest year for which final figures are available, a total of 12,300 United Kingdom contributors paid the share fishermen's rate of national insurance contribution: of these 11,600 were in Great Britain. I regret that separate figures are not available for either Scotland or Grimsby.
