§ Mr. MacleanGoats slaughtered for sale for human consumption must be slaughtered in accordance with the provisions of the Slaughterhouses Act 1974 and the Slaughter of Animals (Prevention of Cruelty) Regulations 1958. Enforcement of the legislation is the responsibility of the local authorities. I am not aware of any goats being slaughtered in contravention of this legislation.
