§ 127. Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department with whom the responsibility for determining the summer time arrangement in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe from 1993 onwards will lie.
§ Mr. Peter LloydThe start and end dates for summer time for 1993 onwards in all member states of the European Community will be determined by negotiation within the EC and ultimately by the Council of Ministers as has been the case since 1981. It is for the United Kingdom alone to determine which time zone it wishes to adopt throughout the year.
