§ Mr. MellorWe understand that the shadow Radio Authority plans in the next few months to invite letters of intent from would-be providers of new local radio services. This will assist it in establishing the nature of the demand in different areas, and in drawing up a plan for the progressive introduction of new stations over several years starting early in 1991. It is not possible at this stage to say what will happen in particular areas.
