To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the prisons in England and Wales that have and use a fax machine or a computer; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mellor

All prisons in England and Wales have computers and 77 also have fax facilities. The prison service aims to improve IT support for the achievement of its objectives.
