§ Mr. Ryder[holding answer 18 January 1990]: The available information at current prices up to and including 1988 is given in the published annual Pink Books on the United Kingdom balance of payments (table 6.1) and on the CSO databank. An assessment at constant prices can be made using the implied gross domestic product price deflators published in "Economic Trends" (table 2) which is also available on the CSO databank.
