§ Mr. NeedhamThe industrial science division of the Department has been working with Northern Ireland companies wishing to replace CFC gases in their products and processes in evaluating suitable alternatives. In addition, any company seeking the advice of health and safety inspectors and fire officers concerning the use of CFCs or plant or equipment using CFCs, is encouraged to use a more environmentally acceptable alternative.
