HC Deb 15 January 1990 vol 165 cc15-6W
Mr. Rooker

To ask the Prime Minister what restrictions are placed upon the top salaries review body in respect of the level of its recommendations.

The Prime Minister

The top salaries review body is an independent body. It takes evidence from the Government and other interested parties and makes recommendations which it thinks appropriate. The TSRB's report is considered by the Government who then decide whether to accept or modify its recommendations.
