HL Deb 15 January 1990 vol 514 c508WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps are being taken within NATO to ensure that the reductions in weapons systems, etc., that will follow presently anticipated arms control agreements are properly co-ordinated among the NATO allies so that both disruption within the allies' arms industries and compensatory sales to other countries can be avoided.

Lord Brabazon of Tara

Force planning issues, including the co-ordination of reductions arising from a prospective agreement on conventional forces in Europe, are among the subjects dealt with by NATO's High Level Task Force on Conventional Arms Control.
