To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a further statement on the provision of community care for the mentally ill.

§ Mr. Freeman
In addition to the initiatives referred to in "Caring for People" (Cm 849), we have recently announced the establishment of a National Health Service loans fund, which we hope will enable the early provision of community facilities for people with a mental illness or handicap.
