§ Mr. Chris PattenDetailed performance measures and targets for the Historic Royal Palaces Agency's commercial and non-commercial operations will be set out in its first corporate plan, which will be submitted for my approval in March. The corporate plan will provide the basis for the agency's performance—oriented management regime in its first full year of operation—1990–91—and beyond.
For the remainder of the current financial year the agency has continued with the management arrangements inherited from the Department, with the specific financial target of increasing the agency's surplus on its commercial activities from £2.3 million in 1988–89 to £3.8 million in 1990–91.
