Mr. JacksonAs I indicated in the reply that I gave to my right hon. Friend on 19 December 1989 at columns219–20, guidance is normally issued to local education authorities following the revision of the mandatory awards regulations. My right hon. Friend will consider later this year what if any new guidance is needed on the disabled students' allowance, after he has reviewed the contents of the regulations in the light of representations received.
