§ Mrs. RumboldThe interim advisory committee foresees substantial gains in the self-confidence of teachers as the Government's education reforms are successfully introduced. The recommendations of the committee should significantly increase the attractiveness of teaching as a profession. My right hon. Friend will shortly be meeting the teacher unions to discuss the committee's report.
