To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the percentage collection of the poll tax in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Walker

I expect the vast majority of the people of Wales to abide by the law. I therefore expect a very high percentage collection of the community charge.
