§ Mr. RyderThe United Kingdom's present subscription to the European Investment Bank is a total of 5.51 becu, paid in annual instalments in the period October 1988 to October 1991. Control over the bank's lending and granting policy is exercised by the bank's governors and board of directors. The Chancellor of the Exchequer is a governor of the bank, and the United Kingdom has five representatives on the board of directors.
