To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish the total number of persons convicted at the Corby magistrates court of offences of driving whilst under the influence of drink, excess alcohol, refusal to provide a specimen for analysis and being drunk in charge for each year since 1979.

At Corby magistrates court there were, in 1987 and 1988 respectively, 160 and 227 findings of guilt for offences of driving, etc. after consuming alcohol or drugs. Information for earlier years could be provided only at disproportionate cost; the figure for 1989 is not yet available.
