§ The Prime MinisterCommercial accountancy and auditing methods have been or will be introduced in Government Departments where it is considered appropriate to use them. But as my hon. Friend the Economic Secretary to the Treasury explained inOfficial Report, 22 January 1990, column 540, normally only cash-based appropriation accounts will be published for Departments or parts of Departments which do not become next steps agencies.
