§ Mr. RogersTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) if he will publish details of the current and relevant transport policy and programme submissions of Gwent, South Glamorgan and Mid-Glamorgan county councils;
(2) what are the delays on progress in the current transport policy and programmes submitted by the Gwent, South Glamorgan and Mid-Glamorgan county councils.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsCounty councils in Wales are no longer required to submit transport policy and programme statements to me though a number of counties continue to produce them for their own use. The outcome of the transport grant submissions for 1990–91 from all Welsh counties and the submission from Mid Glamorgan for acceptance of the second phase of the valleys rail strategy as a project of regional or national importance was announced on 29 November 1989.
