HC Deb 21 February 1990 vol 167 c827W
Mr. Allan Stewart

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he intends to discuss transatlantic flights from Glasgow airport with the United States Secretary of Transportation; and when he next intends to meet the United States Secretary of Transportation;

(2) if he will list the flights from United Kingdom airports outside London which his Department expects to discuss at the next meeting with the United States Secretary of Transportation.

Mr. McLoughlin

My right hon. Friend hopes to welcome the United States Secretary of Transportation here soon, but no date or agenda has been settled. However, it is perhaps unlikely that the United States side will wish to raise the question of services from Glasgow, since it already has extensive unused rights to that airport.
