To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many copies of the pamphlet "How You Can Help the Police" have been distributed; and what percentage of those distributed elicited a written or telephoned response.

Between May 1988 and February 1990 1.1 million copies of the leaflet "Victims of Crime—how you can help the police to help you" were issued. The Home Office does not have statistics on the responses.
