To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will meet representatives of the Pensioners Association to discuss the question of free television licences for all pensioners; and if he will make a statement.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to his question on 7 December 1989 at column470. As he knows, the question has been raised many times before, and I doubt whether further discussion would serve any strong purpose.
