§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyWe have made £31 million available through the waiting list fund in 1989–90. This will enable health authorities to treat over 100,000 additional in-patients and day cases and 90,000 out-patients from the waiting lists. A further £33 million is being allocated in 1990–91. I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Sutton and Cheam (Sir N. Macfarlane) on 6 December 1989 at columns280–81.
