To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the Government of Turkey concerning their treatment of the Kurdish people; and if he will make a statement.

We are in regular touch with the Turkish Government about the human rights of all groups in Turkey, including Kurds. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs most recently raised the issue with the Turkish deputy Prime Minister, Professor Ali Bozer on 22 January.
