§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyIn 1987–88, over half of all district health authorities (DHAs) had exceeded 90 per cent. coverage levels for diphtheria, tetanus and poliomyelitis. The national average was 87 per cent. in the same year the average for measles was 76 per cent. and for whooping cough 73 per cent. This is above the lower target of 70 per cent. for childhood immunisation.
Data for individual general practitioners are not collected centrally.
