§ Mr. BlunkettTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish a table showing, with regard to the payment of income support to people in independent residential care homes and nursing homes for 1988–89, and for the current financial year(a) the ceiling payments for care support for each residential care category, (b) the number of claimants in each category, (c) the expenditure in current and constant prices on each category, (d) the amount by which he estimates that the ceiling payments fall short of the average weekly costs of placements in these categories and (e) the amount by which he estimates that expenditure set out in (c) falls short of the total costs of placements in each category.
