To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many people are currently undertaking employment training in the north-east of England.

Mr. Nicholls

On 26 January 1990, the latest date for which information is available, there were 23,700 people on employment training in the Training Agency's Northern region.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what is the planned level of employment training places and the anticipated level of filled places for each quarter of 1990 for Great Britain.
