Mr. Cryer

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has yet reached a decision under the Caravan Sites Act on the recent application of Bradford metropolitan district for designation; and if he will make a statement.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to reach a decision on the application submitted by Bradford council to designate traveller sites within the metropolitan district; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Chope

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State will consider the city of Bradford metropolitan council's application for designated status when the local authority submits the outstanding response to its consultation exercise. The matter will then be dealt with as speedily as possible.
