To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security whether claimants can benefit from employment on trial if during the 26 weeks prior to a trial period they were participating in an employment training scheme or a YTS scheme, with and without employee status.

Those in either employment training or YTS without employee status during the 26 weeks before commencing employment may benefit from the employment on trial provisions.
