§ Mr. MellorWe already have in place a strategy for tackling drug misuse aimed at reducing both the supply of and the demand for all drugs, including cocaine and crack. Over £2 million is being made available in 1990–91 for a new drug prevention initiative which will involve the setting up of local drug prevention teams in a number of areas at risk from drugs and in particular from the threat of crack. Areas in Merseyside are among those being considered for the possible location of one of the initial teams.
